Lookin' good

In the category Lookin' good I post a picture of someone with great style. Here are some pictures of Melanie Huynh, assistant stylist at French Vogue. She wears a lot of dark colors, but you can't go wrong with black! And during her pregnancy she also looked stunning.

This is what I'm wearing to go out for sushi (yum!) with my boyfriend.

That's hot

On a little shopping spree I got these pumps and lace leggings. The pumps look yellow but are a bit more lime in real life. Can´t wait ´till spring! I was doubting to get them in black instead, but I decided not to play safe. Do you like them?

Let´s watch TV!

TV is a brand from Melbourne. The designing duo describes their style as bold, uncompromising and playfull. In first collage are my favourite looks from S/S 09. The one thing I´m not fond of are the beige booties. Here is a preview of the more basic A/W 09 collection:

Home sweet home

Something that could (and should!) have been done a long time ago, is creating a H&M home collection. An affordable mixture of graphic, classy and colorful design that you can really have fun with. Here are a few things that I really like.

This is supposed to go on your table, but wouldn´t it be cool to have this framed (with some white space around it) and hang it!

Summer brights

When I don´t know what to wear, I often go with black, white or neutrals. To make your outfit a bit more special, you can choose for a colored accessory, like a thin waistbelt or shoe. I´ve made a collage with some of this seasons finest!

Lookin' good

Kate Lanphear works and Elle and you can tell! She has amazing style. And I´m so jealous of these killer heels by Stella mcCartney.

The picture of my new booties in the mirror reminded me of this painting by Magritte.

Footsteps in the mirror

Fringe is one of my addictions, so when I had just finished my exams I decided to buy myself a little gift ;)

Fashion squad

The Teen Vogue team always manages to look stunning. They have amazing clothes, many designer pieces and some vintage, that they make outstanding combinations with. And they always finish with oustandin shoes. My favourite is Taylor Tomasi, I also love her red hair.

Sequin delight

Just wanted to share my favourite party dress with you guys. This dress by French Connection is not something you can always wear, but it certainly stands out! It´s all covered in sequins and has a graphic print. I spotted Paris Hilton wearing it too, don´t know it that´s a good thing :P

And it whispers to me softly

If you want to know what brand things are, just leave a message. :)

Look of the day

New zebra print dress from the H&M trend / pink label department. It has a plaited part around at the waist and on the shoulders.

Style Stalker

With that picture in mind I ran in to this dress at Mango. I just had to have it! It's actually knee-length but I´m having it altered. The black spots are actually dark purple.

Black magic

Finding the perfect black leather bag isn't all that easy. They're either too expensive, not the right shape or have a detail you don't like. I saw this one at Noon a few times but couldn't afford it. But when it was on sale I caved in! The size is just right, really soft leather and I love the metal studs.

Look-a-like

For a while I was searching for a nice black blazer. I loved the satin collar of the right blazer by Alexander McQueen. A few days ago I ran in to the jacket on the left at H&M with the same collar. And on sale too! Lucky me.

Light my fire

Droog is a brand that makes conceptual design in collaboration with independant designers. Their flagship store is right here in Amsterdam. I've bought one of the sticky lamps and plan on going back soon to get me some more. You can stick those on your wall in any possible way.
They have something for the real fashionista's too; the clothes hanger lamp. It's a hanger with a lightbulb attached to it, that you hang your own piece of clothing over. I'm a fan!

New kid in town

I came across these pictures of a designer I'd never heard of before. His name is Julian Louie and he debuted in Fashion Week this year. The collection consists mostly of bodycon dresses with neutral colourblocks and a sprinkle of sequins. They remind me a bit of Christopher Kane's panelled dresses. I like it!

Blazing

Blazers are ideal to make your outfit a bit more dressy or to pair with a tanktop or a dress when the weather gets colder. I would definately like to have these ones! I ordered the grey sleeveless blazer at Topshop and will post an outfit picture soon.
